Job Description:
Our client, a leading regional legal practice, is seeking a Paralegal to join their busy, well-respected Employment Law team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Employment Law Paralegal or have gained relevant experience in Employment, Commercial, or Corporate Law.
You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, undertake drafting of contracts, handbooks, witness statements, and settlement agreements, and provide ad-hoc HR and employment law support to clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Work on contentious and non-contentious matters, including drafting legal documents and providing employment law support to clients.
2. Advise clients, prepare submissions, and manage instructions.
3. Liaise with clients via email and telephone.
4. Handle tasks promptly and efficiently as assigned by fee earners.
5. Assist in preparing documentation for client files and manage document requests and client communications.
6. Provide high-quality client care, tailoring communication to client needs, and keep clients updated on their cases.
7. Manage client onboarding and file management.
8. Proactively handle files and use initiative to manage tasks.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience as a Paralegal in Employment Law, Commercial Law, or Corporate Law.
2. Strong client care and support skills.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage a varied workload.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. High standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
7. Effective analytical, evaluative, and communicative abilities.
8. Professional communication skills with team members and clients.
