Assistant Store Manager – Trafford Centre – Manchester, England

Job Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in delivering a first‑class retail experience, leading a high‑performing team, and driving sales, profitability, and brand standards across the Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans stores.


Responsibilities

* Lead store teams to generate sales, protect profit, minimize losses, and create an outstanding customer experience while ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
* Identify growth opportunities and improve performance through collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
* Maintain and implement visual merchandising directives and standards for the sales floor and back room.
* Partner with store management to develop business plans, action plans, and objective‑setting initiatives to achieve company standards and objectives.
* Drive staff focus on building quality relationships with internal and external customers and accountability for repeat customer building by providing spirit‑service throughout the store.
* Conduct daily and weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels, and inventory levels.
* Communicate sales drivers and priorities to the Store Manager weekly and develop strategies to maximize business and visual presentation action plans.
* Analyze store‑level reports and create action plans to improve results.
* Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes; recruit store personnel with broad perspectives and backgrounds.
* Build bench strength for key positions and possible successors.
* Participate in weekly management meetings and staff meetings.
* Communicate store and individual sales goals and other key performance expectations; guide staff on needed performance improvements.
* Deliver a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.


Qualifications

* Previous supervisory or specialist experience in a premium or luxury brand.
* Strong people‑management skills and the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to cultivate belonging.
* Team‑win collaboration and a recognition of others’ contributions and achievements.
* Courageous feedback that promotes positive behavioral change.
* Fast adaptation and ability to work with pace and pace.
* Energetic and inspiring trust; clear presence on the shop floor.
* Can‑do approach to solve in‑store issues and make informed decisions for store solutions.
