Due to continued expansion, we are looking to add a new member to our team. We are looking for someone with plastering experience and good trowel skills. We are looking to upskill someone to our specialist trades so we would like someone who is open to learning new skills in External Rendering, and internal finishes, along with plastering. You will be working in a small 2/3 man team on a day to day basis, and a larger team for larger scale projects. Transport to job locations is provided but a drivers licence is advantageous. Jobs are usually in north east Lincolnshire but we also often work within a 50mile radius of Grimsby. Attention to detail is essential. Responsibilities Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary before plastering or rendering Mixing plaster or render to the correct consistency using hand or power tools Applying plaster evenly to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using trowels, hawks, and other hand tools, occasionally machine application. Ensuring finishes are smooth, level, and free from defects Repairing damaged or uneven surfaces prior to plastering or rendering Using other general construction related skills as required for tasks. Operating power tools safely and efficiently. Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain safety standards Possibility of an Apprenticeship for the right candidate Skills Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, floats, and hawks Experience in bricklaying, masonry, or general building work is highly desirable Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of techniques relevant to plastering projects Familiarity with other general construction trades is advantageous but not essential Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Physical fitness for manual labour tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods This role offers an engaging environment for tradespeople eager to apply their skills in a dynamic setting while contributing to quality construction projects.
