Position - Residential Support Worker
What\'s in it for you? Basic £14.00 per hour plus £60.00 per sleep-in. Hours - Working various contracts i.e. 30 hours per week, 35 hours per week, or 40 hours per week. Plus sleep-ins at £60 per sleep-in, average of 6 per month (min £4,320 a year). Total earnings on the 40 hour per week contract would be £33,440 p.a. Shift times - 8 or 15 hour days with sleep-ins (11pm-8am) worked on a rota. Where you\'ll be doing it - Minehead, Somerset. Your employment contract - Permanent.
Who you would be working for
My client is a residential children\'s home provider. They take considerable pride in looking after not only the vulnerable children and young people in their care but also their staff. You will receive on-going training to help you deliver high levels of support such as Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Team Teach, CSE and play therapies.
Responsibilities
* Provide a safe, caring and consistent environment for young people.
* Safeguard and promote their welfare, health, education and personal development.
* Build positive relationships, set fair boundaries and encourage social skills.
* Support with healthcare, education, activities, appointments and daily routines.
* Help keep the home safe, secure, clean and welcoming.
* Work as part of a team, attend meetings, follow policies and maintain records.
* Liaise professionally with families, carers and other agencies.
* Manage petty cash responsibly and follow Health & Safety procedures.
* Undertake shifts (including weekends, holidays and sleep-ins) as required.
Requirements
Previous experience of working in a children and young people residential setting.
