We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Applied Science to join our vibrant department and take the lead on our Level 3 Vocational Applied Science provision. You will be committed to active and innovative teaching and learning, passionate about science education, and able to teach across a range of courses offered within the department. You will work within a well-resourced Science Department that provides an exciting environment to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. You will be able to teach BTEC Applied Science and will work with the Head of School to lead on the introduction of courses that may replace this course. The Science Department at Runshaw College also delivers the following courses: A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geology. The opportunity to teach on one of these courses may be possible for a suitably qualified candidate. The ideal candidate for the role will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice, and the ability to motivate and inspire learners. Knowledge of the BTEC verification process is essential as you will be required to act as the lead internal verifier in addition to preparing documentation and overseeing the standards verification for the course. A willingness to contribute to curriculum development and departmental leadership is also essential.
