A leading business is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Buyer to join its growing procurement team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional to take ownership of supplier strategy, category management, and supply chain performance within a highly technical environment.
You’ll play a key role in developing supplier relationships, driving cost-saving initiatives, improving supply chain resilience, and supporting long-term operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies across assigned commodities
Manage supplier performance, sourcing activity, and long-term agreements
Drive cost reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives
Build supplier resilience and support business continuity planning
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams
Support supplier onboarding and capacity planning
Ensure supplier compliance with quality, regulatory, and ESG standards
About You
CIPS Level 4 qualified
Proven procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering
Experience developing sourcing or category strategies
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Able to read and understand technical drawings
Excellent stakeholder communication skills
