What is Nursery Education Funding?
Early Years Entitlements give families access to funded childcare for children from 9 months to 5 years, helping them learn, play, and thrive. Our team processes these funding claims and payments to ensure providers receive accurate and timely support.
The Role
We are looking for a Finance Support Assistant to work within the Nursery Education Funding Team. This is a hybrid role; remote working is available, but the successful candidate must be able to commute to Bodmin when required. This is a permanent part‑time 18.5 hour position working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
As a Finance Support Assistant, you will
* Process and validate Nursery Education Funding claims from early years providers
* Generate and check payment runs to ensure accuracy
* Process applications from parents
* Provide support and guidance to providers and parents
* Maintain accurate records and carry out audits
* Support the Early Years Census and statutory returns
* Process education payments and invoices
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.

* Previous experience in finance or business support role
