Schools across Stockport are offering exciting Teacher Training opportunities starting in September, providing a clear and supported pathway into the profession. Whether your background is in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, or another subject, we want to hear from individuals who are committed, enthusiastic, and ready to make a lasting impact on young people’s lives.
These salaried and unsalaried school-based training placements allow you to train on the job while working alongside experienced teachers. Many roles begin as Graduate Teaching Assistant positions for a year, with the potential to progress into School Direct or SCITT teacher training routes, often within the same school.
You’ll gain classroom experience, receive structured mentoring, and work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with some routes also offering a PGCE qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
