We are currentlylooking for a full-time Drafting Technician in our Calgary location. We welcome candidates who can work and residearound one of our many office locations throughout Western Canada. Explore MidwestSurveys for a map of our offices.

In this role, you will be responsible forcreating plans using CAD and coordinate geometry software on Windows-basedplatforms. Your duties will include and are not limited to:
* Producing all drafting-related products.
* Collaborating with internal staff and external clients using various communication tools to deliver an optimal product.
* Developing 2D drawings for use in survey plans.
* Understanding survey plan content, evaluating evidence descriptions, and adhering to company drafting standards and client requirements.

What you offer:
* A diploma in CAD Drafting or Engineering Design and Drafting with 1-year experience in surveying, oil and gas and the municipal drafting industry.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map, or Civil.
* Strong drafting skills in both 2D and 3D environments, specifically related to surveying.
* Familiar with the township survey system.
* Demonstrates critical and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
* Demonstrates accuracy, neatness, and professionalism in the development of drafting products.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to take instruction and work independently.
* Highly collaborative individual.
