The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a talented team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage ground investigation projects from inception to completion
Undertake and supervise site work, including logging soils and rock
Develop ground models and provide geotechnical interpretations
Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports
Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
Proven experience within a UK consultancy environment
Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Experience managing projects and supervising site works
Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol or similar)
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Experience with contaminated land assessments
Knowledge of geotechnical design principles
Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks
