About the role:
Are you an experienced accounts and tax professional ready to step into a semi-senior role within a supportive and growing practice? This is a great opportunity for someone with solid UK practice experience who’s looking to take on more responsibility and broaden their technical exposure. We’re working with an established and friendly accountancy practice seeking an Accounts & Tax Semi-Senior to join their team. This role offers a varied workload across accounts, tax, and audit, with opportunities to supervise junior staff and play a key role in client delivery.
You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, owner-managed businesses, and groups, using modern cloud-based accounting systems.
What you will be doing:
Preparing and finalising statutory financial statementsProducing management accountsPreparing tax returns for a range of organisational structures and individualsPreparing R&D tax claimsAssisting with and leading elements of statutory auditsPreparing VAT returnsSupporting, supervising, and developing junior staffTaking ownership of work and liaising directly with clients
What they’re looking for:
Experience working in a UK accountancy practiceStrong knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAPExperience with group accountsExposure to statutory auditsConfident user of cloud accounting softwareAbility to take responsibility, show initiative, and manage workloadsPositive, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
