About Us:
We are a business on the outskirts of Carlisle, near Rockcliffe. This private rural estate comprises farming, building, pod construction, property management and low carbon energy. We are continually expanding the business with new and exciting developments.
Due to an internal vacancy, we are looking to recruit a multi skilled maintenance lead.
About You:
We are looking for an individual that has the following skills:
* Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role
* Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues
* Ability to maintain, fix and provide handy man skills to a variety of projects
* Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to plan and supervise projects, liaising with external contractors as required
* Flexible and capable of managing multiple tasks at the same time, from minor property repairs to project work
* Professional and clearly communicates with customers and contractors
* Positive can-do attitude with the ability to work to a high standard without supervision
About the Role:
The following includes aspects of the role:
* Responsible for the upkeep and repairs of residential properties and farm outbuildings on a reactive and planned basis.
* Project works as and when required, with varying timescales and level of development.
* Perform routine maintenance around the Estate and biomass shed.
* Use of diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify issues and effectively deal with them.
* Manage your own workload and source required materials for tasks.
* Responsible for works van which will be provided for use at work only.
* Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
* Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers when necessary.
* Adhoc duties as requested.
Work Environment:
* This position requires regular physical activity including walking, standing, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy equipment – whilst adhering to relevant Heatlh & Safety standards.
* May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, or in variable weather conditions.
* Appropriate PPE & training is provided where necessary.
Health & Safety:
* Promote and enforce adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments and safety audits as needed.
* Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.
* Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Job Details:
Salary between £28,000 - £33,000 depending on ability and experience
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
