Consortium Professional Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our valued client to recruit a Stock Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong stock control and stores experience, ideally in an engineering or technical environment.
The Role:
As Stock Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of inventory across the site. You’ll be involved in a variety of day-to-day operational tasks that support the engineering team, including:
Issuing stock to engineers and putting stock away
Kit building for engineering projects
Stock checking and cycle counts
Supporting stores relocation, binning and labelling stock
Installing racking and maintaining an organised stores environment
Processing orders – placing and booking in deliveries
Working collaboratively with colleagues based in other locations (remote IT connection provided) This role offers a hands-on and varied workload and is ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a wider engineering support team.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a stock control or stores-based role
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Comfortable using IT systems for order processing and stock tracking
Experience in kit building and supporting engineering teams is highly desirable
Able to adapt to changing priorities and physical aspects of stores management What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary between £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
6-month contract with a view to going permanent
