About the Role
A school in Oxfordshire is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest. This role begins September 2025.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature that foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
2. Help students develop their communication, analytical, and writing skills in a supportive environment.
3. Provide constructive feedback to support students’ progress and achievement.
4. Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities such as book clubs, drama productions, and writing workshops.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve teaching practices and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
* Holds QTS and a degree in English or a related subject.
* Passionate about teaching and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
* Ability to create dynamic lessons that engage students and develop their skills as an English Teacher.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a variety of learning needs.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
