Im recruiting for a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to join a well-established college in Manchester. This is a key role responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for staff, students, visitors, and contractors, while managing the colleges soft facilities.
The Role
The successful candidate will implement a sensible, risk-based approach to health and safety management. The focus will be on promoting risk awareness rather than unnecessary risk avoidance, ensuring that the college maintains a safe and compliant learning environment. You will also manage soft facilities services across the college.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure a safe environment for staff, students, visitors, and contractors
* Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
* Take a reasonable, proportionate approach to risk management
* Promote risk awareness and a safety culture across the college
* Oversee soft facilities management, ensuring services meet operational standards
* Monitor compliance with relevant legislation and college policies
