Overview
The Senior Learning and Development Consultant - Foundation role purpose is to design, deliver, and support impactful learning initiatives across the organisation. This role focuses on creating engaging learning experiences for employees and managers during the onboarding process and the sales development pathway. The role works closely with senior stakeholders to identify learning needs and with the wider L&D team to develop existing content and to create new content to meet organisational needs. Through desk-based coaching, workshops, and performance-focused training, the Senior Learning and Development Consultant supports individual growth, enhancing team capability, and driving organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver IN1, IN2 & sales pathway, where applicable, to a consistently high standard providing all salespeople with a world-class onboarding journey and wider experience
* Timely scheduling of training for delegates and managers
* Consistently provide high quality feedback to managers on ‘in training’ performance of delegates
* Work with the wider L&D team to develop existing content as well as new content, Elevate content, Phoenix process change etc.
* Develop excellence in an area of focus agreed with L&D Manager e.g. Phoenix, Onboarding, Elevate, RC+ support
* Desk coaching for TRC – PRC as required
* Lead training needs analysis and feedback sessions with senior stakeholders
* Additional ad-hoc support and coaching as required – e.g. Phoenix for experienced hires, CS workshops, new starter activity feedback
* Consistently demonstrating L&D best practice and standards (IGAM, DRLA, eLearning, facilitation of discussions, seminars etc.)
* Mentor junior team members and influence senior leaders.
* Organisation, Prioritisation & Planning- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects by setting priorities and organising resources effectively, ensuring that goals are met on time and align with broader objectives
* Attention to Detail- Diligent in maintaining accuracy and quality in work, ensuring that every aspect of tasks and projects meets high standards and mitigates errors.
* Facilitation & Delivery- Skilled in delivering engaging in-person and online training sessions, workshops, adapting to varied learning styles and challenges.
* Communication - Skilled in conveying information clearly and effectively, promoting understanding and collaboration within teams and ensuring alignment across stakeholders at all levels. This includes collaborating with the wider L&D team and stakeholders to anticipate challenges, address resistance, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
* Instructional Design/Content- Ability to design engaging, impactful, relevant training programs tailored to learner needs and organisational goals. Ability to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts from the wider business for tailored content.
* Coaching & Mentoring- Providing guidance and feedback to learners to reinforce development and junior team members.
* Needs Assessment & Analysis- Competence in identifying skill gaps and aligning learning solutions with business objectives.
* Measurement & Evaluation- Ability to assess learning effectiveness, using data to enhance program outcomes.
* Change Management- Designing and delivering programs that support organisational change by encouraging adaptability, resilience, and engagement.
* Systems Proficiency- Familiarity with Phoenix, Elevate and other digital learning tools to deliver & train engaging, accessible, applicable content.
* Learning Analytics & Business Insights– Proficient in interpreting data to evaluate learning outcomes, providing actionable insights to stakeholders, and aligning training impact with business objectives.

* The principles that underpin the design and use of face to face and digital learning materials.
* The principles that underpin the choice of learning facilitation methods.
* Understanding how social collaboration can be used in learning.
* Adult learning theories and how to apply to different learning contexts.
* Theories and methods that underpin learner engagement, learning transfer and implementation.
* Ability to create and co-create content with subject matter experts.
* Mentoring of sales managers/team leads to reinforce learning.
Additional Role Requirements
* Requires 12-18 months experience within L&D, talent development.
* Proficient in relevant systems, including Phoenix (CRM).
