Our Opportunity
Thales Underwater Systems (UWS) who design, develop and support Sonar Systems applications for anti-submarine warfare and mine hunting, have a fantastic opportunity for an Electronic Engineer to join a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
You will be responsible for supporting other members of the team to carry out more specialised electrical and electronic design tasks associated with design for the subsea environment. Including sharing your knowledge and experience with other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* To carry out design activities in a team environment with other engineers.
* Work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture design solutions.
* Provide support to the preparation of detailed estimates and bids.
* Provide support to production as required.
* Trials and integration support as required.
* Provide off-site support as required.

About You
You will have…
* Strong demonstrated experience of Electrical / Electronic Design Roles including some of the following experience:
o Packaging of electronics/ PCB schematic design.
o Digital and Analogue Electronic Design.
o Providing support to the preparation of design requirements.
o PCB level drawings/ schematics and data packs.
o Preparation of system and sub system production test specs.
o Use of simulation tools to analyse and predict performance of designs.
* You would have worked previously in a Defence company/ environment
