Family Liaison Officer
Grade 6)
32.5 hours per week (Permanent Term time only)
Parklane is a highly regarded, aspirational special school which caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and youngsters with a diagnosis of Autism.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a committed and experienced family liaison officer. The post-holder will engage with pupils, families, parents and carers and a variety of professionals and voluntary workers to identify the needs of pupils and families and help them find ways of meeting those needs.
Working with children and families, an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, experience of working with multi agency professionals is essential.
The post will be available ASAP although start dates are negotiable.
PROTECTING CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT RISK IS A CORE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OF ALL STAFF APPOINTED TO THE COUNCIL. IN ADDITION TO THIS SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITY, THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR THE ROLE WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK.
