The role of the BSO is required to work extremely closely alongside the Chief Executive and support on a range of duties. The role will be responsible for supporting and facilitating programmes of work on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer and Office of the Chief Executive.
It is essential the BSO has complete knowledge and understanding of the senior teams workload and the complexities of the different areas of responsibility, so as to be able to advise and prepare on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, their managers and their office
Main duties of the job
To provide high level expertise in administrative and office management to support the Chief Executive Officer in a way that is responsive to his needs and contributes to the effectiveness of his role.
To work closely with the team in the planning and delivery of work.
To ensure that appropriate support is provided to the Office of the Chief Executive

Essential criteria
1. Educated to Degree Level in relevant subject, or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
2. Prince2 Qualification or Equivalent.
3. UK Drivers Licence
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
4. A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
5. Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing, and presentation skills, capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences.
6. Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload without supervision, working to tight and often changing timescales.
7. Ability to act as a gate keeper – offering alternative solutions and using experience and knowledge to support leader
8. Professionalism and understanding of the importance of relationship building, political appreciation and reputation protecting.

9. Significant experience supporting a Chief Executive or Executive with diary and Inbox management.
10. Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence.
