About the Role
As a Buyer, you'll take full ownership of sales, margin targets and supplier relationships for a strategically important growth category. You'll negotiate trading terms, develop innovative ranges (including own brand) and create customer-driven strategies that set us apart from competitors. We can offer hybrid working (three days in the office) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing category strategies to drive sales and profit
2. Building strong relationships with domestic and global suppliers, negotiating and agreeing annual trading terms
3. Managing branded and own-brand product ranges
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Supply, Merchandising and Marketing
5. Monitoring market pricing and create effective promotional plans
About you
6. Experience in a buying role, ideally in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
7. Proven ability to develop own-brand ranges and negotiate supplier terms
8. Strong commercial acumen with a passion for products
9. Ability to work across both digital and in-store retail channels
