File Migration Specialist
* Job Type: Contract - 4-6 week project
* Location: Redhill (2 days per week)
* Salary: £115 - £150 per day
We are seeking a File Migration Specialist to manage the transfer of files and folders from our server to SharePoint. This role involves manual cut and paste transfer, file and folder renaming, and ensuring the integrity of data during the migration process.
Responsibilities
* Manually transfer files and folders from the server to SharePoint, ensuring accurate and efficient migration.
* Rename files and folders according to internal documentation standards and file naming conventions.
* Maintain and manage document version control during the migration process.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with internal documentation standards.
* Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
* Familiarity with document version control and understanding of file naming conventions and folder hierarchy design.
* High attention to detail, critical for accurate renaming and structuring.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders for clarification.
* Time management and self-direction skills for short-term delivery.
Desirable Experience
* Exposure to ISO 9001 or GxP documentation practices.
* Experience with document control systems such as DocuWare, M-Files, or SAP DMS.
* Experience with file migration tools for bulk operations, if applicable.
* Familiarity with metadata tagging, if needed.
