Hall Grove School seeks to appoint an inspirational science teacher to start in September 2026 in this leading co-educational day and boarding prep school. This will be a part-time role at 0.4 FTE. It is an exciting time as we have recently opened a new senior school, with the first Year 9 pupils starting in September 2025 and sitting GCSEs in May 2028, so it is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to join and shape the Science department through this phase of development.
The successful candidate will bring to the classroom passion and talent for the subject, and have the energy to engage and enthuse pupils of all abilities. To complement the current team of staff, the school requires a GCSE Physics or Chemistry specialist capable of delivering all three sciences at KS3. The successful candidate will be a team player, willing to contribute and support all aspects of school life in this busy and lively school.
They will join an ambitious and enthusiastic Science Department, and work closely with the Head of Science to develop the teaching of the subjects across the school for children of all abilities. The majority of teaching will be in Key Stages 3 and 4, including extension classes for potential scholars and enthusiastic scientists.
