Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Catering Assistant based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
You will be required to work as part of the Catering Production & Services Team, assisting in all aspects of food preparation, delivery, service, cleaning duties relating to the provision of catering services to Patients, Staff and Visitors.
The main kitchen at Ayrshire Central Hospital provides in excess of 600 patients prepared and cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal services for the staff and the public. In addition, we cater for and provide hospitality for meetings and functions.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* Ability to work in a hygienic setting regarding all aspects of food handling.
* Ability to work under pressure, be flexible and adaptable.
Good communication skills are essential for this role.
* You are required to be proficient in and have knowledge of or undertake training in Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate (6 hrs + exam).
* Food Hygiene Regulations (2006) and Food Safety Assurance system.
* Safe Systems of Work /work schedules.
* Health and Safety Policies / regulations.
* Infection Control practices.
* National Catering Assistant Workbook.

Hours:
We currently have a vacancy on our back shift:-
* Shift Pattern: 7 days on 7 days off - 0745-1345/30 weekdays and 0745-1345/30 weekends.
