We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mail Sorter to join our team. The role involves working on the bays and coordinating daily mail sorting tasks to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.
2. Adhere to all safety regulations, report incidents, accidents, or equipment damage immediately, and ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
3. Safely operate equipment and ensure colleagues are trained and following safe procedures.
4. Report maintenance issues, defects, or malfunctions to your Line Manager promptly.
5. Complete A&D checks accurately and ensure vehicles run to schedule, following CPC procedures for late vehicles.
6. Ensure correct loading and unloading procedures are followed, with inbound and outbound vehicles strategically placed for efficiency.
7. Access, document, and move mail to the correct processing areas.
8. Complete quality checks and required reporting in line with plant procedures.
9. Pottering Yorks (up to 250kg) to the loading bay.
Skills & Experience
10. Previous warehouse or bay experience is desirable.
11. Attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
12. Physical fitness to handle manual handling tasks.
13. Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.
Shift Pattern
14. AM, PM, and Night shifts
15. Monday to Saturday
16. Flexibility is essential to meet operational requirements in this 24-hour operation.
