Location: Sea Cadets Crosby Boat Station, Sefton, L22 1RR Contract: Full time, fixed term until 31 March 2026 Salary: £27,000 gross per annum Closing Date: 11 January 2026 Are you a watersports instructor looking for a new opportunity? The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the leading maritime charity for youth development and lifelong learning. We are currently looking for an Instructor to join our team. About the role We are looking for a passionate practitioner, with a background in delivering activities both on and off the water, and experience of maintenance and procedures management. Experience of working with young people is essential. Responsibilities Maintain in date personal qualifications relevant to the role, including first aid. Maintain a high standard of safety. Function as Duty Lead Instructor. To assist in the organisation and delivery of water-sports training at the CRBS. Assist the Manager/Chief Instructor to ensure that all activities at the facility are conducted in a safe manner, and that all instructors are appropriately briefed, qualified and trained. To instruct/teach trainees at the facility. To maintain and conduct routine checks of all boats and equipment at the facility. Conduct general maintenance of the facilities. Requirements Sound knowledge and ability across a range of outdoor/watersports disciplines. A demonstrable background in the delivery of high-quality activities to a wide client base. A strong awareness of health and safety policy and regulation. Experience of collaborating with volunteers. Hold coaching qualifications in a range of water sports such as RYA Dinghy or Windsurf Instructor. For further information, please download the Recruitment Pack.
