Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start Date: ASAP/September 2026
Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Salary: £93 - £105 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)
About the role
Heart of Supply is pleased to be recruiting 1:1 Teaching Assistants for flexible, temporary opportunities within school settings. These roles are available on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to an individual pupil, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence and navigate their school day. You may support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, and will play an important part in creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
This role would suit someone who is patient, caring and adaptable, with a genuine desire to make a difference. You will work closely with class teachers and school staff to follow individual support plans and adjust your approach to meet each pupil’s needs.
About the school
At Heart of Supply, we work alongside a wide network of friendly and supportive schools across Lincolnshire. Our partner schools include both local authority settings and academies, all of which are well-organised, well-resourced, and committed to creating positive learning environments where pupils feel supported and engaged. We are proud to work with schools that genuinely value their staff and offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere for visiting educators.
By taking the time to build strong relationships with each school, we are able to carefully match educators to settings that suit their skills, experience, and individual preferences. Whether the requirement is for short-term cover or longer-term support, we help maintain consistency and high standards in the classroom. For schools, this means access to dedicated professionals ready to make a real difference, and for educators, the opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting pupils across Lincolnshire.
What you will need:
* Experience supporting pupils in a school, nursery, or education-based setting
* Clear, professional communication and a proactive, reliable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff
* A minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with pupils in a similar setting in the UK
* A kind, confident, and calm approach, with a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
* The ability to follow a teacher’s lead while using your initiative to support individuals and small groups
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting pupils with additional needs would be advantageous
* A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to step into different classrooms and year groups
We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
What we offer you:
* Competitive weekly PAYE pay
* Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day-to-day or longer term
* Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
* A friendly, experienced consultant who listens
* Free CPD and ongoing professional development
* A simple ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme
* Welcome bonus (terms and conditions apply)
