Job Description POST: Social Value Coordinator REPORTS TO: Social Value Lead RESPONSIBLE FOR: N/A DEPARTMENT: ESG ROLE DEFINITION The Social Value Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Social Value Lead with the planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting of social value activities across construction projects. The role holder helps to ensure that contractual and organisational commitments to social value are met and aligned with client requirements. The Social Value Coordinator will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver measurable social value outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate ESG events and promote ESG initiatives. Help to maintain the ESG tracker with charitable donations, volunteering, community engagement, recruitment, and procurement activities. Understand and ensure compliance with S106 and KPI requirements for all projects, acting as the dedicated Social Value Coordinator. Visit project sites and regional offices to promote Company-wide visibility of the Social Value team where required. Administer the work experience process from start to finish. Organise placements, internships, ESG-related training, workshops, course enrolment, fundraising events, charity work, and volunteering opportunities. Help with the coordination of wellbeing activities in collaboration with the HSEQ team, aligning outcomes with the internal ESG strategy. Attend periodic internal meetings such as ESG progress reviews and project ESG meetings where required. Research ESG initiatives across the industry, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and communicating new ideas with the SLT for consideration. Engage with the supply chain to ensure their compliance with S106 regulations, ethical labour standards, and miscellaneous Social Value events. Coordinate responses to social value and ESG-related accreditations, audits, surveys, and pre-qualification questionnaires. Assist with community needs assessments for projects to inform localised engagement. Collaborate with the L&D team to support Company-wide learning, development, and training aligned with the social value agenda. Provide reports to the Social Value Lead with data and insights for client meetings. Provide administrative and logistical support to the Social Value lead. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Desirable Prior experience in a similar role (e.g. Social Value, CSR, Community engagement, Sustainability). x Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills. x Effective problem-solving and organisational skills. x Basic understanding of the construction industry and built environment. x Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. x Competent in MS 365 Suite, with strong administration and IT skills. x Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Sciences, Sustainability, Community Development). x Knowledge of social value reporting systems (e.g. Loop, Social Value Portal, or similar). x This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
