Job Description
TEXO Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of new build housing projects, with a strong emphasis on civil engineering works including roads, sewers, and associated infrastructure. The role is also open to an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up into a Quantity Surveyor position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts
2. Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors, including orders, warranties, and pre-order meetings
3. Administration of subcontract accounts, including variations, dayworks, delays, defects, and relevant notices
4. Assessment, certification, and payment of subcontractor applications, including contra charges
5. Measurement of quantities from drawings and on site
6. Evaluation and control of variations and provisional sums
7. Weekly payments for direct labour and plant
8. Control and monitoring of material costs
9. Production of internal valuations, cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and subcontract liabilities in line with reporting deadlines
10. Close collaboration with the Site Manager and delivery team to monitor progress, preliminaries, and margin performance
