We seek a strategic Director for Development and Regulation to lead and modernise our built environment and regulatory services. Your key responsibilities will include: Overseeing development, acquisitions, disposals, and capital projects Ensuring building safety compliance and construction oversight Managing technical and professional services, including surveyors and architects Handling property and facilities management across HRA and corporate estates Leading regulatory services such as development management (LPA), trading standards, environmental health, food safety, licensing, private sector housing, building control, and more Administering disabled facilities grants and statutory enforcement functions We are looking for: Proven ability to drive major capital programmes and strategic development Expertise in leading compliant, modern regulatory services Experience in building high-performing, multidisciplinary teams Skill in navigating complex legal and statutory frameworks Innovative mindset for transformation and continuous improvement Integrity, partnership, and a strong corporate mindset Why Dudley ?
