Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor Opportunity in Avonmouth
1. Salary: Up to £32,598 per annum plus access to commission on selling service contracts.
2. Hours: 40-hour week with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.

A not-to-miss opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Vehicle Service Advisor for our client's franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Avonmouth.
Reporting to the Service Manager, in the position of a Vehicle Service Advisor, you will work alongside several other Vehicle Service Advisors and your key responsibilities shall include:
4. Correctly capturing all customer details and vehicle faults at the first point of contact.
5. Taking telephone bookings from customers and accurately loading them into the workshop.
6. Raising job cards and ensuring all necessary and compliant documentation forms parts of the job pack.
7. Informing customers of their ongoing vehicle status.
8. Entering additions/changes to our client's customer database.
9. Handing over finished vehicles to customers.
10. Giving customers detailed explanations on the extent of repairs.
11. Monitoring whether repairs are being carried out to the required delivery time.
12. Actively sell aftersales services to include Service Contracts.
13. Discussing and arranging payment with customers.
14. Booking in vehicles to ensure continuity of workshop loading.
15. Provide advice on warranties and service requirements.
16. In the case of legally required inspections, explain the necessary vehicle test requirements.
17. Arrange schedules for MOT/vehicle inspections.
The successful individual would ideally be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction. Very strong organisational skills along with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and DMS systems (Kerridge/ADP preferable) would be of high priority. Current or recent experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor within a franchise-approved vehicle dealer is essential to our client at this stage alongside a full clean UK driving license with minimal points. Experience in a commercial vehicle dealership is desirable, but non-essential.
