Overview
Walker & Watts is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical distribution works, ensuring technical, safety, quality and cost requirements are met across multiple projects including the North East and Yorkshire areas.
Who are we
Walker & Watts Limited are a specialist electrical utilities contractor providing design and construction services from LV to 132kV throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities for this role
* Undertake engineering design, cost estimates and technical documentation.
* Deliver project works safely and in line with Company processes and industry standards.
* Manage programmes, progress tracking, customer interfaces and contractor coordination.
* Participate in audits, inspections, safety duties (including CDM), and witness testing.
* Provide technical support for tenders, contract management, asset data, and project reporting.
* Maintain project control over cost, schedule, risk and resource utilisation.
Requirements
* Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (Degree preferred).
* Technical knowledge of distribution asset classes (cables, OHL, substations, civil works) up to 66kV.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations and safety management.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
