The Role
Become a key member of a close-knit finance function, working directly with the Financial Controller and supporting a wide range of core accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day cash management across HSBC and Euro bank accounts
Calculate and post accruals and prepayments
Take ownership of the general ledger and ensure accuracy across all entries
Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations and prepare journal postings
Support the production of monthly management accounts and internal financial reporting
Carry out variance analysis and help shape insightful financial commentary
Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register
Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and ensure precise asset reporting
Perform monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
Analyse financial data to aid operational and strategic decision-making
Compile and submit monthly VAT returns
Manage intercompany reconciliations
Process customer rental assets
Assist with audit preparation and compliance activities
Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required
Skills & Experience
AAT qualified (or working towards qualification), or p/q ACCA, CIMA or similar preferred
Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High numerical accuracy and strong analytical skills
Confident user of Excel
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and meeting tight deadlines
