Park Blue Homes has an exciting opportunity for Children's Home Bank Residential Support Workers to join our company in the Radstock area.
This is a great opportunity to join a progressive and trauma informed group of Children's Homes with a focus on upholding the values and guidelines of a Therapeutic Community. All our homes specialise in providing care for children and young people with learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural difficulties. The successful person will need to commute easily to these locations. Please note - successful candidates will be required to complete a minimum of 4-5 shifts per month at our home in Radstock.
Salary: £20.00 per hour
Paid sleep ins are £63 per night and we would prefer successful applicants to complete at least one sleep-in per week.
Waking nights are £150/night.
What would I be doing?
* Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
* Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
* Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, washing, cleaning etc.)
* Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
* Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people in our care.
* Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
* Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
* Actively contributing to the development of the team.
What experience or qualifications would I need?
* A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
* A strong team player
* Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Computer literacy
* A driving licence
