Architectural CAD Engineer (Surveying) | Ely, Cambridgeshire | £30,000 - £40,000 We are working with a growing Design & Build consultancy based in Ely seeking to appoint an Architectural CAD Engineer with experience in surveying to support a wide range of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded CAD professional or building surveyor who enjoys hands-on site work and detailed design. You’ll be involved across all stages of projects – from initial survey and data capture to detailed 2D/3D design and client delivery. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Carry out site-based surveys to collect technical data and measurements for design use * Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, including plans, elevations, and technical detailing * Work closely with project teams and clients to ensure designs meet technical and aesthetic requirements * Attend design and coordination meetings, supporting projects from concept through to completion * Manage workload across multiple live projects and ensure deadlines are met * Maintain clear and accurate project records, including as-built drawings and survey documentation * Resolve technical issues and discrepancies within drawings and specifications * Apply current UK design standards and construction regulations to all work Skills & Experience Required: * Experience in architectural or surveying-based CAD work * Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit * Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or building surveying * A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field * Comfortable working on site and interacting with clients and contractors * Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and accurate drawings * Strong organisational skills – able to manage time and priorities effectively * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (occasional travel to sites required) * Security Clearance (or ability to obtain clearance) Summary: Position: Architectural CAD Engineer (Surveying) Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire Duration: Permanent Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday Start: Notice Dependent This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented CAD Engineer or Surveyor to join a thriving consultancy and work on a variety of meaningful, design-led projects.
