* £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)

About the role
A typical day for a Development Application Engineer could look like this:
* Using cutting‑edge innovations to deliver new and meaningful functional capabilities.
* Developing and enhancing data collection within the measurement system to boost accuracy and insight.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to create fresh techniques for measuring samples.
* Liaising across teams to advise on improvements to both software and hardware systems
Who we are looking for
To succeed as a Development Application Engineer, we do need you to have experience of:
* Prior experience of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
* Occasional international travel required
* Prior hands on experience with technical development of ideally complex instrumentation
Education / Qualifications
Either a degree or masters in Physical Sciences or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience.
