About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Administration Healthcare team at HMP Rye Hill, a Category C male prison located in Rugby with a capacity of 650 long‑term inmates. The role supports the wider healthcare team with duties such as GP referrals, responding to emails, scanning/filing, data input and general admin enquiries.
Hours & Salary
Monday – Friday, 0800 – 1600. Full‑time position with an annual salary up to £28,574.

Candidate requirements
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
* Contribute to the delivery of administrative services to the healthcare team on site.
* Work within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases, waiting lists, call‑up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning etc.

Qualifications required
* English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Excellent communication skills
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
