Responsibilities
Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have socio‑emotional and mental‑health needs. Work within the standards of the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, guiding practice in an educational setting and meeting governing body requirements. Hold and manage an occupational therapy caseload with support from the clinical supervisor and site lead. Contribute to staff training and consultation as required. Work collaboratively with the education team to support pupils’ independence and wellbeing.
Qualifications
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience providing OT services within a similar setting (preferred)
* Experience working with neuro‑divergent, learning‑difficulty or socio‑emotional/mental‑health pupils with transferable evidence
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality (preferred)
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferred, but not essential)
Benefits & Salary
Salary up to £53,200 DOE plus a £5,000 welcome bonus (£2,500 paid after one month and £2,500 after final probation). 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am‑4:30pm, permanent contract.
