About the Role
This is more than an engineering leadership role – it’s an opportunity to transform how a major automated operation performs, thinks, and grows. We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Operations Manager to lead continuous improvement across a fast‑paced, high‑volume site at the heart of our customer operation. You’ll shape the future of engineering performance, create smarter ways of working, drive cultural change, and ensure our technology and people deliver outstanding results every day.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading a large engineering and operational team to deliver exceptional site performance, engagement, and accountability.
* Driving a culture of continuous improvement across safety, reliability, productivity, and service.
* Moving the operation from reactive maintenance to predictive, data‑led asset management.
* Using technology, insight, and innovation to improve uptime and extend equipment life.
* Identifying and delivering efficiency opportunities that improve cost performance and customer outcomes.
* Managing CAPEX priorities and understanding the impact of engineering decisions on P&L performance.
* Building capability, coaching future leaders, and creating a culture where people thrive.
* Setting a clear vision for the future and bringing teams along on the journey.
* Working cross‑functionally with operational leaders to ensure engineering is a true strategic partner.

* Senior leadership experience within engineering, manufacturing, logistics, automotive, or highly automated environments.
* A strong track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational transformation.
* Experience leading large teams in fast‑paced, high‑volume operations.
* Strong commercial awareness, including CAPEX planning and cost control.
* Confidence using data and insight to solve problems and improve performance.
* The ability to engage teams, influence stakeholders, and build a winning culture.
* A hands‑on understanding of engineering or maintenance principles, with enough technical grounding to challenge and support effectively.
