Technical Sales Professional - Industrial Equipment
Location: Office-based, Colchester (occasional site visits)
Salary: Starting at £40,000 per annum, DOE + commission and performance-related bonuses
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:00-17:00 | Friday, 08:00-13:00
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation within the manufacturing sector. Our client is seeking a technically minded, motivated individual to join their team in a full-time, office-based Technical Sales role.
This position is ideal for candidates with previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, who are confident in handling technical sales processes and customer engagement.
The successful candidate will work alongside senior management and will play a key role in both customer support and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
Specify and sell dust, fume, and mist extraction systems tailored to customer requirements
Provide technical advice and support to customers across various industries
Develop and manage relationships with new and existing distributors in the UK and internationally
Maintain accurate customer records using the company's CRM system
Collaborate closely with other members of the sales and management team to meet company targets
Contribute to the achievement of sales goals and overall business growth
Candidate Requirements:
A background in manufacturing or industrial processes is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technically confident, with the ability to understand and discuss engineered solutions
IT literate, with experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage time and workload independently
A degree in engineering or a relevant discipline is desirable, though not essential if the candidate has industrial experience
Some experience in international sales or distributor support is advantageous
