There is flexibility withregard to WTE, and some opportunity to work from home.
Supported by our establishedPrincipal CPs, as well as the wider network of OPS Psychologists across theTrust. CPD opportunities and potential to develop the post in line with yourown interests.
Applications welcome fromnewly qualified or third year trainees. There is an opportunity forpreceptorship posts to join the service at band 7 and undertake a developmentplan with the aim of developing the required competencies for an 8a post. Thecandidate would need to successfully complete the competency framework to gainthe band 8a and this would not be achieved due to length of time in post.

Main duties of the job
CMHT: You will be joining a team that really valuespsychology input, psychologically informed ways of working andmultidisciplinary work. You will provide 1:1 assessment and therapy for olderpeople with a range of mental health difficulties. Working alongside ourestablished Principal CP you will support the MDT as a senior colleague byproviding staff support, training, consultancy and supervision. Potential todevelop your own role within service development opportunities.
Crisis team: Providing intensive support to people in theown homes to both avoid admission and support discharge from hospital.Opportunities for short- and longer-term input, including supporting throughadmissions, and continuing work on discharge to the CMHT. The team have notpreviously had psychology so this is a great opportunity to create and developyour role.

Job responsibilities
Thisjob description is an outline of the main duties of the post. The postholder will be required to undertakeother duties commensurate with the grade as directed.
The content of this post will be reviewed in consultation with thepostholder when necessary and in line with the service developments.
The post holderwill provide specialist clinical psychology skills within a multidisciplinaryteam. The post holder will provide a high quality clinical service to the usersof the service.
They will providehighly specialist psychological assessment and intervention while workingcollaboratively with non-psychologist colleagues, professionals from otheragencies and carers. They will be clinically responsible to a senior clinicalpsychologist. Clinical oversight of all work will be held by the clinical leadin the service.
The job plan willbe delivered in the services the post is based.
The post holderwill work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall frameworkof the team while observing Trust and National policies and procedures.
The post holder will provide support to Assistant Psychologists andDoctoral trainees. They will utilise research skills in audit, servicedevelopment and research relevant to the post.
