We are now recruiting for a Senior Youth Mentor to join our team and help us achieve these values.

Your Role as a Senior Youth Mentor
* Support & Develop the Team: Assist the Team Leader in motivating, inspiring, and training staff to build confidence and professional skills.
* Lead by Example: Demonstrate integrity, compassion, and professionalism, setting a positive tone in the home.
* Provide Keyworker Support: Act as a Lead Keyworker, ensuring therapeutic sessions are engaging, creative, and tailored to each child’s development.
* Oversee Daily Operations: Step in for the Team Leader when required, ensuring a smooth‑running, well‑supported home environment.
* Create a Safe & Nurturing Environment: Work alongside your team to provide trauma‑informed care that helps children heal and grow.
* Safeguarding & Compliance: Prioritise child welfare by identifying safeguarding matters and responding swiftly.
* Build Relationships: Engage with families, local authorities, and external professionals to provide holistic care.
* On‑Call Support: Be part of the on‑call duty system, offering assistance as needed to ensure the home is well‑supported.
We’re Looking for people who:
* Have previous experience in a care or support role, ideally with mentoring or leadership responsibilities.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for supporting and empowering young people.
* The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
* A desire to work within a compassionate and ethical care environment.
