Social Media Coordinator

Here at Human Appeal UK we have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team based in Cheadle.The role will be requires you to be in office full time. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year term. In return, you will receive a competitive salary.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As Social Media Coordinator, the successful candidate will support the delivery of Human Appeal’s integrated global communications strategy through the use of social media. To be responsible for building the online communities through the charity’s social media profiles including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat and YouTube, to help raise the international profile of the charity and build meaningful relationships with donors, volunteers, key influencers, the media and other target audiences.

To manage the charity’s organic and paid social media activity to increase reach, brand awareness, encourage interaction, increase social conversions and engagement with our fans / followers. To monitor and evaluate social media performance using Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Facebook Ad Manager and each platform’s individual analytical dashboards, sharing and presenting results and insights across the charity, including campaign performance, key trends and competitor benchmarking in order to deliver short and long term improvements based on key learnings.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Social Media Coordinator:

7. To work with the Associate Director of Communications (Digital) to shape Human Appeal’s Social Media Strategy and design campaigns to increase brand awareness, acquire new customers / donors, encourage interaction, increase social conversion and engagement levels.
8. To successfully build Human Appeal’s online communities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn and Snapchat to help raise the international profile of the charity and build meaningful relationships with donors, volunteers, key influencers, the media and other target audiences.
9. To analyse the activity across platforms to identify and follow up on successes whilst working with other teams to plan future social media campaigns (organic and paid) for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
10. To proactively and reactively protect and enhance the reputation of Human Appeal across social media, maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
11. To identify and implement new tools to boost our social media communities and conversions.
12. To increase social conversions across platforms year on year against set KPIs.

What we’re looking for in Social Media Coordinator:

13. Degree in a relevant field (., Digital Marketing) or equivalent experience.
14. At least 3 years’ experience in social media marketing or community management.
15. Proven success in delivering and optimising both organic and paid social campaigns against KPIs.
16. Strong practical knowledge of paid social best practices, including optimisation, account structure, bidding strategies, and targeting.
17. Extensive experience in paid social media buying and multi‑channel social advertising.
18. Experience managing and optimising direct response and eCommerce campaigns.
19. Confident using native advertising platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and maximising ad budgets.
20. Skilled in writing social media content that aligns with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
21. Charity sector experience is a plus.
22. Experience managing influencer or blogger partnerships.
23. Familiar with social listening tools and feeding insights back into the business.
24. Experience with social CRM.
25. Able to manage and track social media budgets.
26. Strong understanding of major and emerging social platforms and how to use them effectively.
27. Proficient with social reporting tools (., Facebook Insights) and able to extract data from Google Analytics.
28. Experience with Google Tag Manager.
29. Able to write engaging content that drives conversions and builds brand awareness.
30. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.

Experience with multi‑channel attribution. This would be an ideal role for an Social Media Coordinatorlooking to make a difference in a rewarding role within the Charity Sector!
