School Support Worker - SEN Experience Needed!

This School Support Worker role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting young people with SEMH needs. Position: School Support Worker

Hourly Rate: £13.68 - £15 (depending on experience)

Contract: Long-term, full-time (8:30 – 15:30)

What we’re looking for:

* SEN or Mental Health Experience: Previous experience working with students who have SEN or mental health needs is highly desirable.
* Passion for Mental Health: A genuine interest in mental health, particularly in supporting students with SEMH needs.
* Understanding of SEN: Experience or a strong interest in addressing the learning and behavioral needs of students in an SEN setting.
* Local Candidate: Ideally, you will live within commuting distance of Welwyn Garden City.

What is required:

* Support a range of students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
* Collaborate with the clinical and educational team to deliver effective interventions and support strategies.
* Assist in developing individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
* Provide emotional and pastoral support to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
