Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)
Bournemouth, Southampton, and Salisbury.
Monday to Friday 40 or 45‑hour contracts available.
Starting salary £31,000 – £39,000, depending on contract.

About the Role
A service engineer role in a highly successful international manufacturer of forklift trucks. You’ll work primarily within a small geographical area, providing planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on forklifts and related equipment in Bournemouth, Southampton, and Salisbury. No extensive travel or stay‑away required. Overtime is mainly available during the week.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM (planned preventive maintenance) and breakdown on material handling machinery on a field service basis.
* Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
* Keep spares stocked in the van overnight.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade also suitable.
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills.
* Preferably hold a Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
