Advert Educational Psychologist (Temporary) Dumfries £56,763-£72,204 pro-rata We are seeking a registered and qualified Educational Psychologist for this 0.7 part-time maingrade temporary position (24.5hrs) within an inclusive, welcoming Educational Psychology Service in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to improving outcomes for all our children and young people through the application of psychological principles. Further details on the role can be found in the job description and person specification. This post will run from November 2025 through till the end of June 2026. This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post. Applicants must be registered as an Educational Psychologist with the HCPC or be in the process of completion of registration. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
