SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Academics are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a setting that prioritises support, structure, and positive outcomes for its students.
The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour and require additional emotional and behavioural support. Your role will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support
Building strong, trusting relationships with students
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
Assisting in the delivery of engaging, tailored lessons
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
The Students:
You will be working with children and young people with SEMH needs. Many students may have experienced barriers to education and benefit from consistent, patient, and understanding support.
