We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Bridgwater, Somerset. They are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to add to their team. The role is term time only over 39 weeks. Main Duties * Lead small group and individual interventions to support the development of learning, social, and emotional skills. * Contribute to planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons. * Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet students’ needs. * Provide positive reinforcement and behavior support strategies. * Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). * Take responsibility for the preparation and organisation of lesson resources as required. Person Spec * Experience working with pupils on the Autistic spectrum is desirable * Proven experience of working with children in an educational setting * Experience working with young people with special education needs or additional learning difficulties would be advantageous * Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools is an advantage * Higher level Teaching Assistant (TA4 / HLTA) is desirable The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
