Offer description

Make a real impact where it matters most. As the Maintenance Lead at Three Valleys Hospital, you’ll take the lead in ensuring the entire service runs safely, smoothly and to the highest standards. Three Valleys Hospital is a specialist Elysium Healthcare service providing high‑quality, person‑centred care for adults with complex mental health needs. It’s a calm, structured and therapeutic environment where people focus on recovery with dignity and respect — and your work will be central to keeping that environment safe, reliable and fully operational every day.

This is a pivotal, hands‑on leadership role where you’ll oversee all aspects of maintenance across the site, from planned preventative schedules to urgent repairs, utilities, compliance and team leadership. To succeed, you’ll bring technical knowledge of plant, equipment and building systems, strong communication skills, excellent organisation and planning, and a solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations. You’ll have the confidence to lead and develop a small team, the resilience to support the out‑of‑hours rota, and the budget awareness and IT literacy needed to keep the service compliant and running efficiently.

You’ll be part of a close‑knit, values‑driven team built on compassion, integrity and shared purpose, with access to the wider Elysium network for professional support, development and a strong sense of belonging.

What you’ll be doing

* Leading day‑to‑day maintenance, being an active, visible member of the team and ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
* Managing planned preventative maintenance, delivering the PPM schedule to keep buildings, equipment and grounds safe, compliant and fully operational.
* Keeping accurate compliance records, maintaining equipment logs, fire alarm records and statutory testing documentation.

* Managing stock and supplies, ensuring materials and spare parts are available for routine and emergency needs.
* Providing on‑call cover, supporting the out‑of‑hours rota to keep the site safe at all times.
* Ensuring safe utilities management, supervising the effective operation of water, electrical and other essential systems.
* Leading and developing your team, setting expectations, supporting performance and ensuring training needs are met.
* Managing small projects, delivering site improvement work as directed by your line manager.
* Ensuring vehicle safety, overseeing vehicle checks, usage logs and legal compliance.
* Working within budget, planning effectively and making cost‑efficient decisions.
* Championing Health & Safety, ensuring all work areas, tools and practices meet legislation, including PAT testing and routine water and electrical checks.
