We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to oversee groundworks and civils operations on-site. This role involves managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Duties * Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of earthworks projects from mobilisation to completion. * Oversee excavation, grading, compaction, road formation, installation of culverts, pits, stormwater pipes, swales, and other surface/subsurface drainage systems. * Manage site teams including operators, laborers, and subcontractors. * Ensure compliance with ITP's, material approvals, project specifications, engineering drawings, safety standards, and environmental regulations. * Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress reports; report regularly to senior management. * To raise order requisitions inline with drawings, specifications and programme. * Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and clients. * Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, safety, and productivity. * Manage resources effectively including equipment, personnel, and materials. * Implement and enforce Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems. * Resolve issues or delays that could impact the project timeline or budget. * Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders. Qualifications and Skills * Minimum 5 years’ experience in earthworks with a focus on road and drainage construction. * Proven ability to manage complex site logistics and multiple teams. * Strong understanding of geotechnical reports, grading plans, and soil compaction standards. * Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. * Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Knowledge of local construction codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. * Competence in reading and interpreting civil drawings. * Understanding of design standards and specifications for National Highways. * SMSTS and First Aid trained If you are passionate about contributing to this impactful civil engineering project and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Project Manager
