About the Role:
As an ECT for Science, you will deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that stimulate students' interest in biology, chemistry, and physics. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and practical experiments that bring science concepts to life in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the national curriculum and promote inquiry-based learning.
* Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
* Support students in developing scientific skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for discovery.
* Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to explore and experiment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to organize educational visits, science fairs, and extracurricular activities that enhance students' scientific knowledge and skills.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS status as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
* Commitment to promoting scientific literacy and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies. Background checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure, will be required for successful applicants.
